Netflix on Ubuntu/mint! -Without Emulating Windows!

Finally After all these years,

Their is now a way to Watch netflix on ubuntu without Emulating windows,
In the past you would have to run Virtual box and have a copy of a Windows XP or higher Disk.
but now, with one program installed by pasting two lines, you can finally do it.

The orignial artical was by 'iheartubuntu' link below,
and this is by no means an official app by the Netflix team.

(You may need to install wine first)
anyway to install, open your terminal and paste:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ehoover/compholio

and:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install netflix-desktop

(next make sure the ubuntu software center/ synaptic package manager is closed,
also make sure you're not running any other installers or updaters)

And then run netflix-desktop.
and it will go thought the initial setup.

It will need to install some fonts, and a mono package.
So press yes, next, or what ever it asks you to.

A few files will have to be downloaded.

After the last thing is installed, you may have to wait a bit.

but you should then be greeted by the Web login screen:

From here simply Sign in to your account.

---If it's not working---
if You've been waiting for at least 10 mins, and you still don't have the Login screen,
Try reinstalling, First run: rm -Rf ~/.netflix-desktop
(thank's iheartubuntu) and then run: sudo apt-get remove --purge netflix-desktop
once that's complete, run: sudo apt-get install netflix-desktop
--------------

Now find a Video to watch, and click the play button.

after it's starts buffering, it will ask you to enable DRM playback.
Click 'Enable'
and you should be good to go!

You exit full screen mode by hitting F11.

And then you'll have a windowed version!

I prefer it this way for browsing,

You can use the video's full screen button to watch the video in full screen, and  you'll be able to sit back and watch your videos. without having the rest of netflix's site taking up your whole screen!

Enjoy!

If you have any question, I suggest you ask on the source site, they know more then I do...
